Lucas
Figueroa was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina in 1978.
He studied
music at the Laferre Conservatory and cinema at the
University of Buenos Aires, earning a degree in Image
and Sound.
He has written two books, De Sistemas, Muertes y Otras
Falsedades... (Xerox, 1998) and De la vida
entre palabras (2000).
Before working exclusively as a director, Lucas Figueroa worked
as a script writer, editor and producer, principally in Europe.
He has filmed in more than 20 countries.
He has directed many commercials for both television and cinema.
He wrote, directed and produced the Death Trilogy
(2008).
The first two films in the trilogy, 24... eh? (Ouch!)
and Tickets please, earned dozens of awards in international
festivals.
He has participated in many international courses and seminars
including Michael Rabiger (EE.UU), Mark Axelrod. (EE.UU),
Alejandro Agresti (Argentina), Francisco Gutierrez (Cuba)
and Linda Seger (EE.UU).
He has worked as a multimedia editor for the Telefónica
Media Group.
He works for Universal Studios, Fox, Disney,
Hollywood Channel, Histoy Channel, etc.
He founded LMF Films, a film production company,
located in Madrid.
Lucas currently resides in Spain.
