Alessandro Orlati was born in Faenza, Italy, in 1977.

He spent his childhood in the countryside of Ravenna, riding the bike and hiring horror VHS with his friends.

In 1996 he moved to Bologna because of his studies at the university, he got a master degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Since 2003 he started to make no budget shorts and he begun to work as director, editor and executive producer.

In 2007 he joined to “Associazione Culturale Pavonificio Ghinazzi di Bologna”, an underground Artistic association.

In 2008 he shot “Deux viuex amants”, his first short with pro equipment.

Since 2009 he is the president of “Associazione Culturale Pavonificio Ghinazzi di Bologna”.
