Liam
Gavin studied drawing at St. Martin’s
Art College in London, and since then has worked
as a professional storyboard artist, writer, and
director.
Previous
to working with Samson Films, he wrote and directed
two short films with UK production company First
Foot Films: “Day of reckoning” (2002), and “Shooting
blanks” (2003, winner of Best Film, Portobello
Film Festival 2003).
His
credits as storyboard artist include “Lighthouse”
(2000), “Evil aliens” (2005), and “The mutant
chronicles” (2008).
In
January 2009, he made “Sunshower” with Samson
Films, a 13 minute short funded by the Filmbase/RTÉ
short film scheme (Official selection 2009 Palm
Springs International ShortFest, Official selection
2009 Raindance Film Festival.)
"Jericho",
Liam's fourth short film (funded by the Irish
Film Board's prestigious Signatures scheme, co-produced
by Samson Films and Underground Films) was shot
in Bray, Co. Wicklow in May 2009, and will premiere
at the 2009 Corona Cork Film Festival.
Liam
has feature scripts in development with Samson
Films and several UK producers.

resides in London, England, and is represented
by Dench Arnold.
