Erik
Rosenlund works as an animator and short
film maker.
Since
graduating from the animation program at Konstfack
in 2001, he has written, directed, produced and
animated six short films that all have had widespread
international distribution.
He
has twice been in competition at the Cannes Film
Festival; with "Spegelbarn", nominated
for a Golden Palm in the official short film section
in 2007 and "Måste", one of seven
competing short films in The Critic’s Week in
2003.
His
films "Butler", "The dark side
of the morning" and "Checkoo" have
also won several prices at different festivals
worldwide.
All
together his films have been shown at more than
200 film festivals and shown on television in
approx. 15 countries.
"Spegelbarn"
has also had a theatre release in France.
Several
of his short films have been distributed by the
Swedish Film Institute.
Recently,
Erik finished working as an animator on the feature
film "Metropia", where he was responsible
for developing realistic acting within cut-out
animation.
